Chrono Crusade Review:

 

OK, first off I must say, this is one of my favorite anime’s. Why? Because the story is surprisingly original for once and this is one of the few anime’s where I actually fell in love with all the main characters. The story is very unique and original as I said before, and WITHOUT SPOILERS, I will tell you about it. It’s a 24 episode series that is about a nun named Rosette Christopher and her partner and friend, Chrono, who happens to be a devil. Together they work for the Magdalene order, that serves God. They are both searching for Rosette’s missing brother Joshua, and on a mission they meet a special girl named, Azmaria, who tags along on their journey. There is also Satella, who is probably the hottest anime character ever. If you are not interested in story, character development, etc. you can watch the anime just to see her and you will not be disappointed!

                           

There are many religious views and beliefs brought up in the story, not knowing if they are true or not, but it still added a big interest to the whole plot for me. While, this story is serious, it does throw many curveballs at you, with some comedy and romance. I’d say it has a little bit of every genre added to it, I think anyone would love this anime!

 

The characters are just amazingly well thought out, and very likeable. The development of the characters, and the strength, courage, and determination they show throughout the series is just inspiring. I also enjoyed both the dub and the sub versions on this anime, both parties did very well.

Another great point to the anime is the music! WOW! The opening, and ending songs are both very addictive. I could live off those two songs, that’s how sweet they are. And if you don’t trust my review just watch the ending of this great series at least. It will make you cry if you have a heart! Maybe not cry but a little teary at least!

 

WARNING: Does contain many religious views, and depending, it MIGHT offend very religious people. It also does contain blood, swearing, fan service, you know the usual!

Pros:

+ Awesome Characters, and Great Story/Plot.

+ Religious topics brought up in an interesting way.

+ Dubs and subs are very well done!

+ Music is addictive, and used well.

Cons:

- Can be a little confusing at times

- Deserved to be longer
