General Summary

Ever since Yukinari was small he has always been picked and bullied by girls. He is short, weak, and has no self-confidence. Because of this, he has want some people would call a “girl phobia” meaning when ever he comes in direct contact with a female he breaks out in hives. This however, all changes when he is transported to another world (via his bathtub) and meeting a girl named Miharu who inadvertently changes his life as he knows it. For some reason when he is touched by Miharu he does not break in hives. Is this just a fluke? Are they destined to be together? What do the three dots on Miharu’s head represent? Will there be a happy ending? You are going to have to watch Girls Bravo to find out!

Art and Animation

The show is very visually appealing. Meaning, the characters, the sceneries are all beautifully done. The characters themselves are done great. Most harem shows are visually appealing, and this show is no exception. The transition from scene to seen is good, nothing to take away from the watching experience. Season 1 is currently releasing its DVD’s and hopefully season two will soon follow suit.

Character Development and Storyline

The characters development is great. The reason I decided to review both season 1 & 2 together is because you really notice the transition of the characters from season 1 to season 2. I do not want to give anything away but the main character, Yukinari, improves greatly. The main characters excluding Yukinari are: Tomoka, Kirie, Koyomi, Kazuharu, and Risa. There are some other side characters that show up but I feel these are the core characters. I feel that at least some of the characters in the show are memorable because the character interaction in the show is what really makes it a great title. Even though all these characters have there differences are willing to put that aside for a main goal. I believe in a sense this is true “character.” The pacing as a whole is generally good. The show as a whole is a bit episodic; however, there are some episodes that foreshadow what is to come so one could say at least there “loosely” connected. If you like harems (like me) you will like the series, I do feel that the series does send off a positive message which is “Never to give up, even when the odds are against you” you will understand this by the end of season two. Let me say, the ending of season 2 was perfectly done. I may like harem but I am not afraid to say that for the majority of harem shows the ending is very open ended, the ending of girl’s bravo is very nice and clear cut. The last 3 episodes are truly magical. Seriously, the last episode in season 2, episode 13, has to be one of the best episode I have seen in a long time. I truly won’t forget it!

Final Summary

This show is truly fantastic. If you do not watch through season two you are really missing out. I felt the second season had some of the best moments in the show. I have stated it before but I feel a second time won’t hurt. The last few episodes in season two are truly magnificent, especially the last and final episode. This last episode makes a mediocre show good. In this case, it makes a great show even greater. If you watch season one and feel you don’t want to continue I recommend you “suck it up” and watch season two, by the end of the series you will feel it was been worth it. In the end I can’t force you to watch the show by any means, but if you like harem, especially harem with a solid ending, then Girls Bravo is right up your ally!
