SteamBoy Review

First I want to say I was not actually going to get this movie but I was browsing through my local anime store and for some reason it caught my eye. The cover of the DVD is was initially got me interested so I decided to buy it and I am happy I did. Here’s my take on the successor to Akira, “STEAMBOY.”

STEAMBOY Review:

I will start off by saying the animation quality is top notch, rarely do we see this type of quality in anime which truly is a shame. This story is about a young boy named Ray and his dreams in science and who should he side with, his father or is grandfather? Only by watching the series will you see this dispute resolved! This story truly holds a deeper meaning; it is a war vs. what science truly is. Is science used to aid people and make them happy? Or is it here to help sell arms and make a profit sum of money? Both serious are seen in this great film across its 2 hour span time. There is a lot of action involved in this title, you will see people die, you will see machine battle it out and you will see flying machines as well! This title is simply fantastic! The whole atmosphere is just great and the details are simply good as well! The music is good too I particularly liked the music presented in the menu screen; I felt it was very catchy. The characters were very well made, each have a certain personality and helps to further increase the interest to the plot. If you want to have a great relaxing night and have a couple of hours to spare, pick this movie up. It has high paced action, drama, and will present the good fuzzy feeling we all love from those special titles out there.

(Great Action, Great animation, great story)

Note: (Some of the pictures seem a bit fuzzy, I have no idea why but it looks amazing on a TV)
